‘Tis the season for reflection. Don’t worry—it’s Christmas, so I plan to keep today’s newsletter brief. (Plus, mimosas await.)
Since this is also the last newsletter of 2020, I want to share an end-of-year ritual of mine: choosing a word of the year (WOTY) for the year ahead. Instead of resolving to do this or that at the turn of the calendar, I choose a word to steer my year. One that will help manifest my hopes, visions, and goals.
2019’s WOTY was intentional. 2020’s WOTY? Clarity. (And oh, did I get clear on what’s important in life this year.)
As for 2021? I’ve chosen abundance as my WOTY. Defined as “plentifulness of the good things of life,” abundance doubles-down on the clarity I gained this year. And the first step towards abundance is being grateful for what I already have.
So, I wanted to thank you for being here. For signing up—and showing up—to read my newsletter every other week. And for giving me something to look forward to. I’m proud of this community and our collective commitment to looking on the bright side.
I’m curious: What will you choose as your WOTY?
Supplemental reading: My last newsletter, ICYMI. And one I wrote about setting intentions for the holidays (P.S. we made it!).
See you in 2021.
